All children with disabilities can succeed with appropriate services and supports.
It is overwhelming for parents to manage the education of their special needs child. Special education is a complex “System” that demands a working knowledge of too many legal and educational laws, policies, procedures and best practices in instruction. The system is stacked against parents’ meaningful participation in the process.
The intention of my practice is to empower parents to become educated consumers of Special Education by guiding them throughout the process. I believe parents always know their child best. It is our shared goal to collaborate effectively within the PPT team to ensure your child’s IEP program is ambitious, appropriate and measurable.

Parents can leverage emotions to advocate effectively…
While Special Education is an imperfect process, those parents put in the extraordinarily demanding work of Moving In, year after year…always succeed beyond measure!
It is my mission to advise parents in how to work the system to meet the needs of their child.

I’ve been at the PPT table countless times—as a parent and an advocate, I’ve walked the walk. I have the knowledge and experience to advise parents in negotiating and collaborating to develop a program that is appropriate for your child’s special needs.
